Licence plate recognition introduced at San car parks

Both the multideck P1 car park and the P2 San Clinic car park are in the process of having licence plate recognition (LPR) technology installed. Wilson Parking team members will be onsite during the transition to assist patients and visitors with entry and exit whilst everyone gets used to the new system. 

Here are some instructions to assist:

Visitors Entering & Exiting:

• Drive up to the entry and push button to print a ticket. The LPR system will capture your rego number and print onto ticket. Gate will open when you take the ticket.
• PAYMENT AT PAYSTATION: take ticket to pay station and scan it or enter your Rego number. 
  Proceed to exit gates and gates will simply open (ticket does not need to be scanned)
• PAYMENT AT EXIT GATE: drive to exit gate and LPR will calculate your fare. Barrier will open upon payment, using MASTERCARD/VISA CREDIT CARD ONLY.

Visitors Entering and given a CONCESSION ticket from Hospital (e.g. ICON):

• Drive up to the entry and push button to print a ticket. The LPR system will capture your rego number and print onto ticket. Gate will open when you take the ticket.
• IMPORTANT: KEEP YOUR ENTRY TICKET - DO NOT SWAP IT FOR THE DISCOUNT TICKET
• PAYMENT AT PAYSTATION: Scan entry ticket OR Rego number.
  
  • PRESS "DISCOUNT %" button.
  • Scan CONCESSION ticket given by hospital. Paystation will present your new fare. If needed, press RECEIPT and make payment.
  • Proceed to exit gates and LPR will simply open the barrier (ticket does not need to be scanned).
• PAYMENT AT EXIT GATE: Drive to exit gate and LPR will show the fare on the screen.
  
  • Scan the CONCESSION ticket given by hospital.
  • Screen will show NEW fare.
  • Press "Receipt" button if needed.
  • Barrier will open upon payment using MASTERCARD/VISA CREDIT CARD ONLY.

Weekly passes: 

• Drive up to the entry and push button to print a ticket. The LPR system will capture your rego number and print onto ticket. Gate will open when you take the ticket.
• CHANGE TO WEEKLY PASS AT PAYSTATION: Take the entry ticket to any paystation, scan the entry ticket and select "WEEKLY PASS".
• Press "Receipt" button if needed.
• Make payment and your 7 day pass is now encoded on the original entry ticket along with the car rego number.
• Drive to exit gate and LPR will open the barrier on exit.
• Entry/Exit will operate using the LPR on the vehicle with the original rego number.
• If you decide to enter using another vehicle, ensure you bring along and use the original ticket the weekly pass was encoded to enter/exit the carpark. DON'T take another ticket - this will then charge the daily fare.
