Subspecialty Interests: General Radiology and Body Imaging (CT/MRI)

Dr Avi Saks has extensive experience gained in both South Africa and Australia. He holds a BCom (1993, UNISA), MBChB (1981), Diploma of Child Health (1985), FFRad (1989), and FRANZCR (1998). Dr Saks began his career in South Africa, qualifying as a Radiologist in 1989, and held various private and public hospital appointments in Johannesburg until 1993. He then completed an MRI Fellowship at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals in London from 1993 to 1995.

After achieving Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists in 1998, Dr Saks relocated to Australia in January 2000. He has been an integral part of the San Radiology team at Sydney Adventist Hospital since then. Additionally, he served as a Senior Staff Specialist at Liverpool Public Hospital from 2000 to 2018.

Dr Saks has held Senior Lecturer positions at the University of New South Wales and the University of Western Sydney, and was a Senior Abdomen Examiner for RANZCR for 10 years. Since 2017, he has been the Medical Director at Everlight Radiology ANZ, a global teleradiology company serving over 80 major public hospitals and numerous private practices.
